Pervious Paving

Pervious Paving is becoming more prominent in the design of new developments, especially in the Chicago area. Pervious Pavement allows the drainage of storm waters through the pavement itself, and distributed into the sub-grabe below. This allows for a lesser need for retaining ponds and structures, and less underground utilities on the site.

Placement of pervious pavement requires installation by a certified contractor. O’Connor Contractors is certified and our employees have successfully completed the certification process. We have completed numerous pervious projects both with traditionally colored materials and integrally colored concrete mixes. We partner closely with our clients and material suppliers to lay down project specific pavements that fit the requirements when traditional utilities cannot be used.
